Archbishop Brunett, Fr. Schifano honored at SHST Awards Dinner

The Most Rev. Alexander Brunett, Archbishop Emeritus of Seattle, is the 2011 winner of the Sacred Heart School of Theology Archbishop Cousins Vocation Award. He has been a leading contributor to the seminary's success over many years. He has placed his faith in Sacred Heart School of Theology for the formation of some 11 seminarians over the past 14 years.

The Rev. Albert Schifano (SHST M.Div., 2001), Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia, Diocese of Tucson is the recipient of the seminary's 2011 Distinguished Ministry Award. Fr. Schifano is a shining example of the way fostering leadership in our formation program begets leadership in the Church.

The awards were presented at Sacred Heart's annual Awards Dinner before a large group of alumni, volunteers, Knights of Columbus, faculty, staff, seminarians and others.

Also at the event, the Knights of Columbus Trinity Council 4580 Grand Knight David Kunze presented the seminary with a donation of $10,000, continuing a long history of strong support for Sacred Heart.
